With membership to NTHC, you are contributing to our Jewish community now and ensuring a Jewish presence in Tahoe in the future.

Membership fees have remained the same for over eight years, thanks to the generosity of members who rise above the minimum to sustain our community.

Benefactor $3,150

Sustaining Membership $1,950

General Membership $1,325

2nd Congregation: $815

Young Family (oldest partner/spouse under 35) $815

Single: $815

Young Adult (under 29 years old): $195

*Membership is from June 30 - July 1 of each year

*Membership is never denied to anyone solely based on financial means. Contact our administrator Holly (holly@tbytahoe.org) if you would like to discuss alternative arrangements.

In addition to the membership fee, as of 2026, we have an $180 security fee to help cover on-site security services (through the Placer County Sheriff’s Office) for our events.

To ensure fairness in covering the cost of our facility, it is NTHC's stated policy that all new members who have not previously donated to the Building Fund will be assessed a total of $2,500 over 5 years ($1,500 for singles, second congregation, and young family members).

Continuing membership beyond the first year requires an additional commitment to support the Congregation’s Building Fund, as follows:

—Benefactor, Sustaining Member, and General Member: $500/year for five years

—2nd congregation, young family, single: $300/year for five years

The first installment is due at the beginning of the second year of membership.
