Special Events at North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation:
Tuesday, May 14, 7 pm. Tikkun Leil Shavuot
Join us for two study sessions and some traditional pot luck (dairy),
to observe Matan Torah, the giving of Torah.
Rabbi Cahn will be leading two different discussions,
from 7-8, and then 8:15 - 9:15. Join us!
Final Friday Cultural Series, Friday, May 31
Cantor Dr. Jonathan Friedmann will speak about the
Role of Music in Jewish Communal Life, and will be our guest cantor.
A graduate of the Academy for Jewish Religion, CA,
Cantor Friedmann has published numerous books and articles
and is fast becoming an important expert in Jewish music
(and he's only in his early 30s).
Brilliant and funny and beyond talented, if you come that night,
one day you will be able to tell people,
"I saw Cantor Friedmann when he was still a youth - and he was so great then!"
