North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation and Community Center Presents Final Friday Cultural Series The North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation and Community Center announced a monthly Speaker Series taking place on the final Friday of each month. Renowned speakers, published authors, clergy, and others will discuss a broad range of topics, including timely politics, recently published books and articles, and social issues. The presentations at NTHC in Tahoe Vista , California , are open to the public at no charge and begin at 7:00 PM following a brief service.
On January 27, 2012, David Meyerson, Pacific Northwest Regional Political Director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), will review legislative issues and discuss the compelling events of the Arab Spring, events in Syria and Iran, and the US sale of F15s to Saudi Arabia.
Upcoming speakers include Shelly Christensen, Co-Founder and Chair of Jewish Disability Awareness (for February’s Disability Awareness Month), the Reverend Scott Clark, award-winning author Katharine Weber.

The purpose of the North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation is to promote the enduring and fundamental principles of Judaism and to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people; to enable its adherents to develop a relationship with God through communal worship, study and assembly; to apply the principles of Reform Judaism on the values and conduct of the individual, family, and the society in which we live.
